MEMS mirrors may be used to steer an optical beam along an arbitrary path with full non-resonant control of beam position such as for:
- compact heads-up display systems
- laser marking
- object tracking
laser imaging systems
MEMS mirrors can be used in any scanned laser imaging system such as for:
- optical coherence tomography imaging
- LIDAR imaging
In-line Beam modulation
The MEMS shutter can be placed directly in the beam path to modulate the transmitted optical signal. The modulated signal may thereby more easily be separate from background noise in a high noise optical detection system.
